Paint Contractor: Manual and automatic paint guns

When you are a paint contractor you usually choose what method to use when it comes to apply paint, and even when you choose a method like spray paint, there are still options, like for example, using a manual or an automatic paint gun. Today we are going to talk about both.

For a start a manual spray gun is the one you might have seen used in a variety of places like auto shops, home contractors, and more, this are the ones you use with your hands and need to press a trigger to start painting. These kind of spray guns can use small engines (for home versions) or full air compressors (for industrial and business use) to push the paint out to the surface in which is getting applied to.

On the other hand the automatic spray guns are mostly used in the industry for production lines where they stay in the same place and spray paint based on computer control as the surface in which it has to paint gets in front of it. Of course this needs for a human to be always and constantly checking that the flow of paint is always running smoothly, otherwise one could find a surface with a poor paint job.

Remember that no matter if automatic or manual, one of the most critical parts of spray painting is the paint, meaning it was to be thinned to perfection to avoid the existence of grubs, which for surely would clog the spray gun, or the possibility of a poor paint job as a paint too thin will not cover the surface evenly.

As paint contractors we choose carefully the materials and equipment we use, specially when it comes to spray paint, why? Because as high quality as our equipment is, so will be the job that will derive from it, so, whether it is automatic or manual (we mostly use manual) we need to make sure it is up to a high standard.
